What operating system does it have on it? If it's Windows and old, one of it's service packs probably added USB 2.0 support.
If you have the room inside of your new computer though, you could just take out the whole hard drive, switch it from master to slave, and hook it up inside of the new one.

Making algorithms for generating stats and sprites from any randomly selected file, and making it to where only the data used in the algorithms is read (don't want all of a 300mb video loaded into a byte array now do we?). I had an idea for making something more entertaining!

I believe there was a guy working a long time ago on a FF7 remake on gamingw.net.
I thought that the definition of "making a remake of FF7" is "verb. the act of creating a custom menu system in RM2k3 that mimics the menu of the game Final Fantasy Seven to a varying degree, after which the project is abandoned"?
